Danshari (断捨離).

Danshari (断捨離).

It is a Japanese concept and lifestyle philosophy meaning roughly “decluttering” or “letting go.” The three kanji break down as:

断 (dan) – to refuse; to stop bringing unnecessary things into your life.
捨 (sha) – to discard; to let go of possessions and habits that do not serve you.
離 (ri) – to separate; to detach from the obsession with material things and gain freedoms.
