Bret Monroy

This evening some of us attended a great workshop by Bret Monroy who is an expert on photoshop and author of "Photoshop Studio". He is a photo-realist painter, his medium is light on the screen and infinite imaginations for realistic photography. He presented quick lessons at the Apple store in Chicago on how to create 3D images, manipulate image layers, paths, etc. It was fascinating to watch him create realistic images from scratch with affects and features in a matter of minutes. Passion for what he does is conveyed in intricate details in his 10 feet wide masterpiece of a a night city life. Every piece of his image displays a realistic situation like a window in a skyscraper with a family eating dinner with lamp light reflection. This window is only one out of many windows the same building, Monry spent about 15 minutes to create the light reflection in the small window. This only shows the great amount of effort and required expertise to achieve such an amazing work of art.
