Hardship

With your heart so near,
              no hardship I can't steer,

thru the tallest waves
              my soul happily braves.

Take away all this
             and the home port I'll miss.

Like sailors' stars and sun
              love's light is the guiding one.

Moon over the coral lagoon

Another night when the moon was full, I went on the deck looking at our ghostly visitor. The water was so clear and moon so bright, the water disapeared and the sandy bottom of the coral lagoon appeared with perfect clarity. The yacht was floating 20 feet above, seemingly suspended in midair.
